Halloween-inspired programs and activities all month-long for children and families
MUAHAHAHAAAAA! Chicago Children’s Museum invites you to do the Monster Mash, create creepy costumes and release your inner ghouls because this month is Spooky October! The month-long theme features a variety of kooky programs and events.
“Halloween has always been a fun and memorable childhood celebration,” said Jennifer Farrington, president and CEO of Chicago Children’s Museum. “From listening intensely to scary tales, to putting the final touches on their costumes, our goal this October is to provide children and their families an opportunity to be creative and have fun!”
Spooky October programs include:
- Spooky Backyard – Once known as Big Backyard, this exhibit has now become a playful, eerie backyard featuring spiders and other bug eating predators!
- Paint Your Face – Children can decide if they’re a spooky cat, a silly pumpkin, or anything in between, as they transform their face for Halloween!
- Monster Mash Dance Bash – Boogie monsters take on a whole new meaning during this Halloween-inspired dance party for the whole family. Get ready to twist, jump and shake with fright (or laughter!).
- Pile It Up & Jump – Classic fall fun that never gets old. Gather your leaves and jump away!
Spooky October runs today through October 31, 2013. Program times and dates vary, so be sure to check CCM’s website calendar for more information.
